WHERE THE PAGER TAKES - AUTUMN SPECIAL #4
Saturday 5th October 2019

A day birding on the Suffolk coast which was a case of quality over quantity.

We kicked off with two GREATER SCAUP plus a single COMMON FIRECREST and both NORTHERN GANNET and a steady stream of BRENT GEESE.

Moving north, we had brief views of a YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER as it flitted around an area of Sycamores before the pager sent us south where we had stunning views of a PALLAS’S LEAF WARBLER plus brief sightings of another YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER!

The day concluded with a single EURASIAN STONE-CURLEW enjoying the afternoon sun which delighted the group and rounded off a brilliant day.

Thanks to trip participant David Preston for his excellent image of the Pallas’s Leaf Warbler.
